Run the OAuth schema in Supabase

Creates two tables: slack_user_tokens (encrypted per-user tokens) and slack_oauth_states (10-min CSRF state).

Set the token encryption key

This 64-hex key encrypts every user's Slack token at rest (AES-256-GCM). Generate one here, copy it, and paste it into Vercel as SLACK_TOKEN_ENCRYPTION_KEY.

Then open Vercel env vars, add SLACK_TOKEN_ENCRYPTION_KEY (all environments), paste the key, save.

Save this key somewhere safe (password manager). If it's lost, all existing user connections must reconnect.

Create a distributed Slack app

This is a separate Slack app from CHUY Voice — it's the one users will click "Add to Slack" on. It must have user_scope permissions so each user's token is their own.

Paste Client ID & Secret into Vercel

From the Slack app's Basic Information page, grab App Credentials → Client ID and Client Secret.

Redeploy to pick up the new env vars

Vercel env vars don't hot-reload — a fresh deploy is required for the three new vars to take effect.

Schema, encryption key, and Slack credentials are all set. Each user can now connect their own Slack workspace from My ClawBot → Connect Slack. Their voice turns post as them (not as a shared bot), so ClawBot will reply normally.

Next step: close this wizard, open your own My ClawBot, click Connect Slack, approve the OAuth grant, then try Possessed Mode with a voice turn.

Slack Integration Setup

1. Create a Slack app
Go to api.slack.com/apps → Create New App → From Scratch. Name it (e.g. "mr CHUY."), pick your workspace.

2. Add permissions
Go to OAuth & Permissions. Under Scopes, add: chat:write

3. Install to workspace
Click Install to Workspace → Allow. Copy the Bot User OAuth Token (starts with xoxb-). Set as SLACK_BOT_TOKEN in Vercel env vars.

4. Get Channel IDs
In Slack: right-click the channel or DM → View channel details → scroll to bottom → copy Channel ID. Paste into each user's Slack field above.

5. Invite the bot to channels
In each channel, type: /invite @mr CHUY. — the bot must be a member to post.

Possessed Mode (Organization Default)

CHUY can act as the voice I/O for your organization's Claude-based Slack bot ("ClawBot"). Voice is transcribed, posted in Slack, your bot replies, CHUY speaks it aloud. These settings are the default for all users in this org — individual users can override via their "My ClawBot" page.
